Amazing food and great value. You must visit! We arrived ahortly before it opened, so the friendly waitress served us a drink outside then brought us in when they were ready.
We puzzled over the Portugese menu, (being poor linguists!) but then the chef came out and explained the menu to us. Now there is a man passionate about his food!
I had the Swordfish with Prawn and octopus risotto and my husband had Peppered steak with chips. The portions were enormous!
Having just come up from the Algarve, this was by far the best meal of our holiday so far.
Tucked away in BejaWishing for 6 family members to dine out in Beja on a Sunday evening, choice was a little limited but we found that Intimo could take us. As I was footing the bill the booker warned that Intimo was more expensive than our original (closed) choice.
The restaurant has an outside dining space but we wanted to dine inside as the evenings were now much cooler.
Nothing special about the decor really albeit I was expecting something a little more up market due to price warning!
Service was so so as the place did get a little busy as the evening wore on.
My wife was very pleased indeed with her mushroom risotto dish, the espadarte looked good and was enjoyed, the bbq rib dish was enormous with some taken home but my coelho frito was rather underwhelming with little flavour.
Generally the evening was enjoyed and having fed all of us and enjoyed 4 jugs of white sangria and a bottle of Herdade Grous white (at a good price of 20.95€!) our bill was 188€ so yes, a little expensive for 6.
Good lunchGreat lunch, huge portions, easy parking, try the ribs!!! Excellent wine selection and great value for food and wine. Unassuming place in Beja, worth the stop
