The best!We first visited in 1991 when ex-pats took us there. They said it was the best piri piri chicken on the Algarve and everyone I have mentioned Rampa to agrees, without exception. Maybe their 'fries' aren't the same as Golden Arches or an English fish and chip shop but guess what? It's traditional Portuguese! The 'fries' ARE hand-peeled and cut, I've seen them doing it. The chicken IS local, free-range and corn fed and the way they cook it makes for the best taste; heat without burn, tasting like chicken. The salads are always fresh and if the bread sometimes is a little firm - well, maybe the bakers was closed because it's not Bimbo! For the past few years I've been saying: "Next time the bacalau" but I'm still on the frango. And pudim flan for dessert.
